MY TRAVELS AND WISH LIST TRAVELS

AND THE SOAPS INSPIRED BY THEM

Many of my soaps are inspired by the geography and culture of places I've visited or would like to visit. Where have you gone in your travels? Let me know and I will design a soap for your special places.

Soap titles with links go to my Square store where that specific soap is still available for purchase. Of the soaps that are no longer available, drop me a line if you'd like me to restock any of them.

Jungle Flower Soap

BRAZIL

Deep in the Amazon, you pushed the dense vines out of the way and there they were, the brightest jungle flowers you had ever seen. A sweet floral scent filled the air. You didn't pick the flowers, but later you did buy some Jungle Flower Soap to help you relive the moment.

That verde marble in Westminster Cathedral. Is it from India? Some say it’s from Guatemala or Maryland. No matter, its cool smoothness evokes an enduring peacefulness for the ages.

FRANCE

There are sedate, traditional lavender soaps and then there is the fun of Lavender Swirl Soap. The soothing fragrance reminds you of that hike through the lavender fields in the

Luberon foothills of France.

HONG KONG

The Hong Kong market was filled with jade jewelry. It was overwhelming, but then you saw a pendant of such varied shades of jade set in delicate gold… Soap inspiration.

Cinque Terre Herbal Garden Soap

ITALY

On the Cinque Terre hillsides above the Ligurian Sea, the hard clay soil has been worked to yield the tastiest of herbs. Redolent of these herb gardens, this soap washes you with herb scented dreams of the Cinque Terre.

The night ended at the Hemingway Bar

at the Paris Ritz. “Begin the Beguine” played while you nursed an orange cognac (neat) and felt the spirit of Hemingway and Fitzgerald.

Trekking through the Donegal area of Ireland, you saw verdant green hills dotted with sheep. A sweater of they wool isn't enough. You rejoiced when you found large soaps wrapped in a gentle exfoliating Donegal yarn.

Petra Soap

JORDAN

First the narrow souk, then the astonishing Greek temple carved into the rock. That would have been enough, but then the dazzling layers of colorful rock. Petra visited me when I made this soap
