From the Other Side of the Table: Holiday Craft Fair Adventures

Updated: Jan 25, 2019

Heritage Holiday Craft & Gift Fair, Watsonville CA

There is so much to love about vending at a crafts fair. I get to show off my products with flair, meet new and old customers, and help people pick out just the right gifts.

At these fairs I find out about the kind of products and fragrances people want. Sometimes people come by briefly and leave only to come back a little later to purchase. Some may browse and chat with me for a long time and never buy anything. And it's always fun to see which of my friends will show up.

Sometimes there are few people attending a fair so I don't earn much, but I always meet other vendors and learn from them about their products and other shows. And every show has a unique feel and culture. This year I participated in four holiday shows and I expect to participate in them again during the 2019 holiday season. Look for announcements for all my shows in the Soap and Soap Newsletters. You can sign up to get the newsletter by sending an email request to
